Power of Wind - Award Winning Ad Clio 2008
May 20th, 2008 by admin
The Clio Awards are honored to reward creative excellence in advertising and design. They are awarded in a number of fields, including: TV, Print, Outdoor, Radio, Integrated Campaign, Innovative Media, Design, Internet, Content & Contact, and Student work.
Below is a Gold-winning commercial this year for wind energy made by a German agency, in which wind is personified by an oafish fellow who’s always causing trouble for the people around him. The crowd at the awards show burst into startled laughter during opening shots in which the brute lifts a woman’s dress up to her armpits and then throws a fistful of sand in a child’s face. The punch line: He at last finds his proper place in society by providing an alternative power source.
This is really well thought out.. at first i didn’t get it but at the end it all made sense… really creative.
