The latest tactics by Sen. John McCain do the country harm. Asserting that the historic nomination of Sen. Barack Obama is comparable to Britney Spears or Paris Hilton — who bare their sordid lives for fame they wouldn’t otherwise have — cheapens us all. “He’s the biggest celebrity in the world…”

Now it’s Paris Hilton’s chance to tell off John McCain for putting her in an Obama attack ad. Late Sunday Paris’s mother Kathy slammed McCain for the waste of money, time and attention given to the ad in a blog for Huffington Post (excerpted below). But Paris has gone a step further and taken her response to the camera in a scripted piece, saying she’ll “see you at the debate, bitches.”

It is a complete waste of the money John McCain’s contributors have donated to his campaign. It is a complete waste of the country’s time and attention at the very moment when millions of people are losing their homes and their jobs. And it is a completely frivolous way to choose the next President of the United States.

Austria is the co-host of Euro 2008 together with Switzerland. Nobody gives Austria any chance of winning the Championship, The British Guardian previewed them as “Austria’s main problem is that they don’t have many good players.”

However there are still some sense of patriotic that someone made a Mockumentary about Austria beat Netherlands 2-1 in the final at Ernst Happel Stadion, Vienna.

The above clip is taken from the 45 minute mockumentary that was broadcast on Austrian TV on Friday, the night before the Euros kicked off. Title “Das Wunder von Wien: Wir sind Europamesiter” (The Miracle of Vienna: We Are European Champions) it takes a look back on Euro 2008, four weeks after the final.

Even better, Austria beats Germany in the semis, and appears to cause some sort of recession in the Fatherland.
